Maybe we didn’t even know we were waiting for her. Pantsuits are OK but Hilary wore them into the ground and while Laura dressed the part she doesn’t have youth on her side like Michelle does. This color of pink suits her perfectly and would have been our preference for an inaugural gown instead of the creamy frou frou that she wore. This is another Jason Wu design but looks more RTW than atelier.
There have been many comparisons of Michelle to Jackie-O and rightly so. She has style and elegance and Hollywood loves youth. Of course, the only thing bad about celebrity is over-exposure but for our intent we want to see lots of Mrs. Obama. We want to gush over the fact that she chooses her clothes carefully and with an American made label.
